At first the story doesn't seem like much - it's just little excerpts from the daily lives of a few high school girls and their teachers. But it's absolutely hilarious. It's hard to explain why. The timing is great - oftentimes there'll be long pauses, and instead of being awkward, they just make you laugh harder. The humor is sometimes a little zany and ridiculous, but it's still extremely funny. I saw it in the anime club at my college. There are roughly 90 people in it, and every time we watched an episode, EVERYONE was screaming with laughter. One of my personal favorite characters is Sakaki. She loves cats, but her parents won't let her have one as a pet. Every time she sees a cat, she tries to pet it. And every time she does that, it just chomps down on her hand. She's slightly odd, and she has several bizarre daydreams, but she's just a very real character. All of them are. I can imagine meeting any one of the characters at school. I also love the opening and ending for this series. For some anime, it gets boring to watch the same thing each time you see an episode, but not with this series. I loved to sing along with the opening and the ending. The opening song is cute, hyper, and goofy, with lyrics like "mainichi fuwa fuwa" which means "every day is fluffy". The ending song is soft and sweet, but still fun. This is just a great series. It'll make you laugh every time. I watched it over an entire semester, and I never got tired of it. I couldn't wait to see it each week. If it came out commercially in the US, I'd gladly pay the $30 to get it on DVD, because it's just that much fun to watch. That's the strongest endorsement I can give. Go out and find it, you'll love it! Overall Rating: 10
