Card Captor Sakura (2)Author: Autumn Gal This is one of the best animes out there. The series is about a girl in the 4th grade named Sakura Kinomoto who finds the legendary Clow Cards created by a powerful sorcerer named Clow Reed. Sakura accidently set the cards free because the Guardian Beast, Keroberos fell asleep for about 30 years when he was supposed to be guarding the cards. Anyway, Sakura's job is now to capture the cards and seal them under her own name. Her best-friend and cousin, Tomoyo Daidouji also knows about this and designs battle costumes for Sakura and also video tapes her. About a couple of episodes into the series, we meet this guy from HK, China called Li Syaoran. He is a direct descendant from Clow Reed's Mother 's side, and it seems like he is also trying to capture the Clow Cards, but under his name. Syaoran is really cold-hearted toward Sakura, but in season 3, his attitude changes. There are 2 movies to go with this really cool anime too. Movie 2 (The Sealed Card) ends the whole series, while Movie 1 picks up where the first season left off. There are 12 volumes in the Manga series, and the ending is actually quite different from the anime. Though the Anime ending (second movie) can make you cry twice! Card Captor Sakura is definitely recommended to all people as this is one of the best created by a group of four women we know as CLAMP. Overall Rating: 8.5
