ChobitsAuthor: Rid Hershel The main character in this anime is Motosuwa Hideki, a boy from the country side, and with him is Chii, his persocon that he found in the garbage. Persocon are some kind of robots that look like a humans, talk like humans, do almost everything like a human, but they are just programs. That means they don't have real feelings. But there are some rumors that say there is a kind of persocon that has feelings and can act on its own will. They are called Chobits. People don't know if they are real or if it's just a legend. Back to the story. Hideki is a boy who used to live on a farm and failed a test to get into a university. Then he decided to go to a cram school in the city, so he could have a chance for the next year. There, he meets Shinbo, a boy of the same age who lives at the same inn. Shinbo has a persocon named Sumomo, and Hideki is amazed when he sees her. Walking around the town, he sees that most people have a persocon, and he wants one too, but they are too expensive and he has no money. At night when he's going back home, he finds a persocon in the garbage and picks her up. Someone has thrown her away because she was probably broken. All she can say is "chii", even though Hideki decides to keep her and starts teaching her things. Through most of the anime, the characters are teaching Chii things or trying to solve the mystery of the Chobits. There's nothing too impressive in the anime, except for the music maybe. It's an average anime, so yes, it's worth your time. Overall Rating: 8
